Sage Pro Support Projects
Sage Pro future support projects
Here are some brief description of theSage Pro future support efforts we are making to test and document procedure to keep Sage Pro ERP and it’s predecessors running on future operating system. Access to out knowledge, procedures and software to accomplish these goals are developed under our Support Plans.
WINDOWS 11 DEVELOPMENTS
Windows 11 project
We will keep your Sage Pro [formerly known as ACCPAC Pro and SBT Pro] software running as long as you want to keep it running. We now have many clients running on Microsoft windows 11.
Access to these services and knowledge will only be available if you are covered by a support agreement.
Some of the areas we have continued to work on are:
Avalara Sales Tax interface
We have worked with our clients, Gretyrix and Avalara to redevelop the sales tax interface to match Avalara new web interface standards.
Message Master and other Email interfaces
We have converted Message Master to allow it to be used into the future with SMTP mail interfaces. Microsoft made changes that broke the email interface in all non 32-bit installations and since the default install for office is not 32 bits, this impacted many of our clients.
PDF Writers
Two PDF writes continue to work with Sage Pro out of the box. We have been able to adapt Sage Pro to work with newer version of Adobe and some other PDF Writes for Preview and Printing.
Positive Pay for banks
We have introduced positive pay capability for interfacing to banks positive pay systems
ACH and Direct Deposit are available
SQL and Operating systems
Yes, we can move you to new version of SQL and new Server as support expires.
It is not necessary to set up an old server and run on Remote Desktop to keep Sage Pro running.
It is not necessary to virtualize your Sage Pro system. We have been successful in moving a number of combinations to new servers. We have one client able to run an old Sage Pro 7.3 system on SQL 2019.
Issues with file locking on new version of Windows Server after 2008
Most of the earlier SMB locking issues seem to be resolved after moving to newer workstation operating system linked to newer servers.
Microsoft continues to surprise us with some new security updates causing temporary issues which we have been able to resolve with minor changes to the set of the Sage Pro installation.
ODBC issues
Sometimes there are issue using ODBC to connect applications. It’s a pretty easy workaround usually.
Licensing issue
Lost your license, need a replacement or suddenly find your licenses are corrupted? We have been able to work around these issues to get people back up and running on the system.
Windows 8 & 8.1 Developments
Windows 8 and 8.1 project
We can keep your Sage Pro [formerly known as ACCPAC Pro and SBT Pro] software running as long as you want. We are now testing on evaluation versions of Microsoft Windows 10. However, access to these services and knowledge will only be available if you are covered by a support agreement.

- Message Master support and a possible switch to an SMTP version of Message Master.
